Prominent Real Estate Broker & Consultant based in the United States is joining Restart’s management board.
A graduate of the College of Civil Engineering and a past employee of the construction giant Energoinvest, where he designed power transmission lines across Africa and The Middle East, Nick moved from Sarajevo (Bosnia) to LA in November of 1991 as a result of the growing tensions in his homeland just before the civil war of 1992. Work in the US was scarce and acquiring the PE in the States was lengthy and pricey challenge, so in order to support the family, Nick decided to switch careers.
In the years to follow Nick worked on real estate transactions with Equity Office Properties, 99¢ Only Stores,
and CENTURY 21 before deciding to venture out on his own. Due to his previous business experience, Nick’s initial role as a Commercial Real Estate guru quickly transitioned to Business Opportunities Specialist. While involved in selling all types of small-to-medium size businesses, Nick’s niche became the $300k-$1M restaurant, bar and nightclub inventory. Nick is an Accredited Buyer Representative and takes great pride in matching qualified buyers with the perfect business opportunities.
Nick is a California Real Estate Broker and has been licensed since 2004. As a Certified International
Property Specialist (CIPS and TRC), past NAR’s President Liaison to Austria, past President of the Bosnia Real Estate Association, and the 2015 President of the Los Angeles County Boards of Real Estate, Nick, aka ZIGIC
Real Estate, is well-positioned with the residential real estate brokerage community and serves as a unique resource and agent for buyers, sellers. and investors into the Southern California homes markets. With the business slogan of “Making people better homeowners when buying, selling, and all the time in between”, and a bachelors degree in civil engineering, Nick also serves clients as a project manager helping them deal with vendors and contractors when in need of home improvements or maintenance.
In his “previous life” in former Yugoslavia, Nick was also a musician, song writer and base guitarist for the band, Kontrapunkt, owned a jewellery business (and designed the same with his wife Jasmina), and owned a prestigious travel and tour operating a business, Jet Set Tours, that operated from within the location of the Tourist Information Center in Old Town Sarajevo. He brought the Telal back to town and implemented the exclusive Blue Tram tours of the City.
With the assistance of the National Association of REALTORS (USA), in 2010 Nick founded and lead the
Bosnian Real Estate Association until its merger with the Federal Chamber of Commerce in 2018. The Association now is strong and is lobbying the countries first Real Estate trade laws.
Nick’s plans for the future are to help make Bosnia and Herzegovina the new Switzerland and make travel and adventure tourism one of its main revenue generators. Nick’s dream is to see Bosnia become a country
with a strong economy and happy people.
